HISTORY
It was built in 1939 by Dornier in Altenrhein for the Swiss Air Force. After surviving the Second World War unscathed, it remained with the Luftwaffe until the 1950s and was then operated privately in Switzerland under the registration HB-URM.
In the following decades, almost all Bückers were converted to Lycoming engines and thus lost their originality. There are less than ten examples of the Bücker left in the world in this original condition with the original engine.
In 1999, the owners had the Bücker completely overhauled, whereby even the smallest detail was preserved true to the original. In addition to the original instruments, the fire extinguishing system and the crank drive for starting the legendary Hirth HM 504 A-2 engine were also restored to their historically correct condition.
The Bücker Jungmann was sold to Germany in 2009 and registered in Germany in March 2016 under the registration number D-ETHO.
The engine was overhauled by LTB Dirk Bende GmbH in Bonn-Hangelar and reinstalled in March 2019.
Since then, the aircraft has completed around 25 flight hours.
